Brittish Governments

Brittish government had 3 branches:
Executive: Monarchy
Legislative: parliament-house of lords-(inherited)
-house of commons-(elected)
(every colony except pennsilvania had a two house legislation)
Aristocrats-nobility
-elite
-priviledge classes

Colonies had an elected assembly, allthough only a few people could vote which was called house of representatives.
The Governor a appoiinted by the king
(Governor work was to represent and serve king)
only connecticut and rhode island elected a king
Pennsylvania entire assembly was elected

The colonial government was a lot different from the brittish
they didnt have a constitution instead colonists had legal documents
2/3 of men could vote because they owned land
